Franklin Lakes music lessons — FAQ
Where do Franklin Lakes students take music lessons?
At the Real Brave studio at 350 Ramapo Valley Rd, Suite 10, Oakland, NJ 07436 — about a 10-minute drive from Franklin Lakes via Franklin Avenue and Route 208. Students can also take the same 1-on-1 lessons live online through PracticePad™.
What instruments can Franklin Lakes students learn?
Guitar, piano, drums, bass and voice, plus ukulele, violin and songwriting. Every lesson is one student with one dedicated teacher — never a group class or a rotating instructor.
How much do music lessons cost for Franklin Lakes families?
Starter is from
$57/month (one 30-minute lesson a month). Weekly private lessons run
$189/month for Tier 1 and
$299/month for Tier 2, both with a quarterly option that saves $100. The 16-week Ten Song Sprint is
$1597. Every tier includes PracticePad™.
See full pricing →Do you teach adults, or just kids?
Both. Roughly a third of our students are adults — beginners in their 30s, 40s and 50s, and returning players picking an instrument back up. Evening slots are the most popular with Franklin Lakes adults.
Can Franklin Lakes students perform live?
Yes. We run about a dozen showcases, recitals and open mics a year on a real stage with real lights and sound — not a folding chair in a hallway. Band programs are available in Tier 2.
What if we have to miss a lesson?
Cancel by 9 AM the day of your lesson through PracticePad™ and reschedule based on availability. Most schools demand 24 hours; we know how Bergen County weeknights actually go.
Do you offer online lessons for Franklin Lakes students?
Yes — live 1-on-1 lessons through
PracticePad™, with the same teacher and curriculum as in-studio. Many Franklin Lakes families blend both across the year.
