What does my student need for online lessons?
An instrument, a laptop or tablet with a webcam, and headphones. We send a free set-up checklist after enrollment — most families are ready in ten minutes.
Are online lessons as effective as in-person?
For most students, yes — because the teacher is live, the curriculum is personal, and PracticePad™ structures the week between lessons. Many families blend both formats.
What ages work best virtually?
Ages 7+ typically thrive online. For younger students we recommend a parent nearby for the first few lessons — teachers coach you on how to help.
Can we switch teachers if it's not clicking?
Yes — we re-match at no charge. Chemistry matters more than anything else we do, and most families find the right fit on the first or second try.
Do you teach online music lessons in all 50 states?
Yes. Real Brave teaches live 1-on-1 online lessons nationwide, with current students in New Jersey, New York, Florida, Arizona, California, Missouri, West Virginia, South Carolina and Alaska.
Are online music lessons as effective as in-person?

Can we get online piano lessons in New Jersey?
Yes — online piano lessons are available across New Jersey, including Elizabeth, Rahway, Linden and the whole North Jersey area, plus in-studio piano lessons at our Oakland location.
Do you offer online drum lessons?
Yes. Online drum lessons work well on an acoustic kit or an electronic kit with headphones. Teachers coach technique, timing and independence over live video, and assign practice videos in PracticePad™.
How do online lessons work for homeschool families?
