Jonathan Archer is a Queens, NY native with a deep love and passion for music. He is studying Music Education at the Aaron Copland School of Music at CUNY Queens College and began playing the violin at age 2 1/2.

He also plays the guitar, Hammond organ, bass, and piano. Jonathan firmly believes that music has the ability to teach transferable life skills and is honored to be a part of the Real Brave staff.

Sophie has loved music her entire life. It is that very love which brought her to Queens all the way from Washington to study Music Education at the Aaron Copland School of Music in Queens NY. Her instruments of choice are Guitar, Piano and Vocals, all of which she teaches with bright energy and enthusiasm.

Sophie teaches because she believes in sharing the gift of music with everyone. Her greatest goal is to nurture the joy of music in her students. To that end, her lessons are lively and animated to ensure that the fun is never lost in the learning. She also puts emphasis on music as a form of self expression. Her lessons follow the natural progression of each student, allowing them a sense of freedom which encourages them to bring their inner selves to the music. She often incorporates ear training and music theory as tools to further her students’ ability to express themselves and makes sure to stretch their creative muscles as well.

In her class, enjoying yourself and making music are at the center of everything. She inspires confidence in her students and an appreciation for the craft. For her, teaching music isn’t just about helping students as growing musicians, it’s also about helping them harness their inner world and communicate as growing people.

Stefano started his musical studies almost twenty years ago in his native country, Italy. After moving to the US, Stefano graduated from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College with a Bachelors of Music and Summa Cum Laude. He has been performing in a wide variety of genres ranging from classical music to rock and jazz. Along with his performance experience, Stefano has been teaching since he was a high school student in Italy over a decade ago.

As a musician and an instructor, Stefano promotes a healthy approach to the instrument by teaching techniques based on proper use of physics and natural body motion. He tries to incorporate theory and ear training into lessons and believes in learning and performing pieces as a complete experience, which is both fulfilling and educational for the student.

At the Queens NY location, Stefano enjoys sharing his passion for music with his students and is committed to accompanying and supporting them every step of the way in their learning process using Practice Pad and the Real Brave Method.

Eddie began playing violin at the age of 6. Loving the instrument and music, he continued to play all through middle school and high school, playing in small chamber groups and orchestras as well as a soloist. He later attended Adelphi University and obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance. He learned piano and guitar while in college. Currently, Eddie is studying Music Education as a Graduate Student at Hofstra University.

While keeping a comfortable, relaxed and fun classroom at the Queens NY location, Eddie pushes his students to their full potential and shows them what they are capable of. Teaching how to practice and different ways to practice at home really makes a difference. Theory is infused in with the learning of the instrument so a wholesome knowledge is learned as well as the use of Real Brave’s Practice Pad and method.

Javier  began his musical journey as a self taught multi-instrumentalist. Idolizing groups from the realm of 90’s rock and pop music, he has participated in various experimental rock projects in the last decade.

It wasn’t until his enrollment into Molloy College that he discovered the world of classical music. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance in classical guitar and has exceptional knowledge in Music Theory and the Romantic period of art and music. Through his experiences as a musician and educator he possesses values in life in which he lives by and incorporates into his lessons.

Ranging from the works of Bach to Buddy Guy, Javier is happy to be a part of the Real Brave team in Queens NY and believes that every individual at any age and with any skill level can play beautiful, expressive music.

Dann Jose Cabredo a.k.a. ‘DJ’ is most known for his boisterous personality and his eagerness to teach students in a fun and attentive manner. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Education from Queens College, he is well accustomed to teaching all manner of students, whether they be older or younger.

Having spent a decade working for Real Brave, he holds a closeness to all staff and students treating them similar to family. DJ’s students will tell you that he is fun, attentive and direct resulting in a honest enjoyable class experience which will leave you wanting to learn more. Especially with PracticePad and the Real Brave method employed.

Andrew has been teaching music for six years. His skills cover a variety of instruments including guitar, bass, drums, piano and ukulele. And his musical tastes are even broader.

His approach to teaching is to get students playing songs that they want to learn, all while learning and building a foundation of the music theory and technique behind them. He makes each lesson fun and engaging for all students and always illustrates the lessons being taught by playing real songs along with the student.

As a singer/songwriter, he strives to empower each student with the knowledge to compose their own musical works at the Queens NY location.

Sam first started music as a child and since then, it has taken over all aspects of his life. After picking up and playing his first instrument, listening to, playing, writing, and talking about music has been his main obsession. Now he performs with numerous groups live and continues to compose and produce songs.

As a self-taught musician, Sam tries to teach his students in a fun and simple way while trying to show them the feeling of self-esteem that comes with achieving their goals through hard work. Using Real Brave’s method and PracticePad really helps the student go further.

Don Albert studied music at Queens College and has been teaching guitar, bass, trumpet, performance and composition for over 30 years. He also teaches test prep and essay writing to high school and college students. Don is an intregal part of Real Brave’s PracticePad developement and implementation.

Rebecca has been singing her entire life. She received Classical Voice training from high school and in her senior year at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Music, with a Vocal concentration. She also writes and composes her own songs.

Her goals for her students is for them to be able to have fun with music while learning the technical aspects. She believes that students always need to have input in her lessons.

Sam is a self-taught musician and learned through books and videos online. He was inspired to be a teacher after he was became a praise leader in his church. During middle school and high school, he took music classes to hone his skills. In college, he declared minors in both Music Education and Music Theory to enhance his knowledge in both fields.

His goal as an instructor at the Queens location is to find his student’s joys within the instrumentation. While teaching the instrument, he also wants his students to grow their passion for the instrument and music in general. Slowly but surely, he builds his students into profound musicians through his know-how, the Real Brave method and PracticePad.

Alejandra has been a violinist since the age of 5 and studied at Stecher and Horowitz with Mr. Lauren Smith for several years. During her junior year in high school, she was awarded a scholarship to study with Yeu Chang Ma at the Children’s Orchestra Society. With this opportunity, had the privilege of performing with the Youth String Ensemble at Lincoln Center in 2002 and 2003. Since then, Alejandra has focused her musical abilities on teaching and performing at weddings and other special occasions.

Her goal as a music instructor is to create an environment that is fun while also equipping students with the skills that will allow them to become rewarded musicians through her know how, the Real Brave method and PracticePad.

She is also fluent in Spanish!
